The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church holds the historic Christian faith received from the Apostles, witnessed in the Holy Scriptures, preserved through the Holy Fathers, and lived through worship, teaching, and discipline.

As part of this sacred tradition, Debre Genet Amanuel Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church was established on June 20, 2007, under the New York City and Surroundings Archdiocese of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. It is the first Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church in the State of New Jersey.

The Church provides services such as divine liturgy, baptisms, marriages, spiritual guidance, and Sunday school.

የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ከሐዋርያት የተቀበለችውን፣ በቅዱሳት መጻሕፍት የተመሰከረውን፣ በቅዱሳን አባቶች ተጠብቆ የቆየውን፣ በአምልኮ፣ በትምህርትና በሥርዓት የሚገለጸውን ታሪካዊ የክርስትና እምነት ጠብቃ ትኖራለች።

የዚህ ቅዱስ ትውፊት አካል የሆነችው ደብረ ገነት አማኑኤል የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን፣ በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን የኒውዮርክ ከተማና አካባቢዋ ሊቀ ጳጳስ መንበረ ጵጵስና ሥር፣ ሰኔ 20 ቀን 2007 ዓ.ም. ተመሠረተች።ቤተ ክርስቲያኗ በኒው ጀርሲ ግዛት የተመሠረተች የመጀመሪያዋ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ናት።

ቤተ ክርስቲያኗ የቅዳሴ አገልግሎት፣ ጥምቀት፣ ሥርዓተ ተክሊል፣ መንፈሳዊ ምክርና መመሪያ፣ እንዲሁም የሰንበት ትምህርት ቤት አገልግሎት ትሰጣለች።
