ምሥጢረ ጥምቀት
ይህ ከማይደገሙ ምሥጢራት ውስጥ ይመደባል።
- ጥምቀት ከሥላሴ መወለድ ነው
- ጥምቀት ወደ ማንኛውም ምሥጢር ለመግባት በር ነው
- ኃጢአትን የምታስተሰርይ ጥምቀት አንዲት ናት
በጥምቀት ሰው መንፈሳዊ ልደትን ዳግመኛ ይወለዳል እና መንፈሳዊ እድገትን ያስከትላል።

በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ሰባቱ ምስጢራት ለምእመናን የእግዚአብሔር ጸጋ የሚሰጥባቸው ቅዱሳን ምስጢራት ናቸው።
በአብ፣ በወልድ፣ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ፣ ሥም በአንድ አምላክ ። አሜን።
መግቢያ
“ሰባቱ ምሥጢራት” የሚለው ቃል በቁጥር ሰባት መሆናቸውን ያመለክታል። እነዚህ ለምእመናን የእግዚአብሔር ጸጋ የሚሰጥባቸው ቅዱሳን ምስጢራት ናቸው። በእነርሱ ተሳትፎ ሰው መንፈሳዊ ሕይወት፣ መፈወስ፣ ቅድስና እና ከእግዚአብሔር ጋር ኅብረትን ያገኛል።
ምሳሌ 9:-1
“ምስጢራት” ተብለው የሚጠሩበት ምክንያቱ የመለኮታዊ ምስጢሮች በመሆናቸው ነው። በውጭ ሲታዩ በቤተ ክርስቲያን የሚፈጸሙ በሥጋዊው አይን የሚታዩ ሥርዓቶች ናቸው፤ በውስጣቸው ግን የማይታየውን የእግዚአብሔር ጸጋ ያሰጣሉ። ሰው ከእኚህ ምሥጢራት ካልተሳተፈ መንግስተ እግዚአብሔርን እንኳን መግባት ሊያይ አይችልም።
ዮሐንስ 3:-3 እና 5
እነዚህም አገልግሎቶች የሚፈጸሙት በእግዚአብሔር እንደራሴ በሆነው በካህኑ ቡራኬ እና ጸሎት አማካኝነት ነው። በጥንታውያን ቤተ ክርስቲያን ሁሉ የታወቁ፣ የታመነባቸው እና የሚሰራባቸውም እነዚህ ናቸው።
ምስጢር 2
ምስጢረ ሜሮን
ሜሮን ማለት ቅብአት ማለት ሲሆን ከጥምቀት ቀጥሎ ወዲያው የሚፈጸም ምስጢር ነው።
- አዲስ ቤተ ክርስቲያንና ቅዱሳን ንዋየ ቅድሳት ይቀባሉ
- ነገስታት በዚህ ይነግሳሉ
- ከማይደገሙ ምስጢራት ይመደባል

ምስጢር 3
ምሥጢረ ቁርባን
ቁርባን መቅረቢያ፣ መቀራረቢያ፣ መገናኛ ማለት ነው።
- እርሱ መቀራረቢያ እና መገናኛ ነው
- ምእመናን በእርሱ ከእግዚአብሔር ጋር ይቀራረባሉ
- ይህ የምስጢራት ሁሉ መደምደሚያ ነው
በአዲስ ኪዳን ምእመናን የሚያቀርቡት ሥጋ እና ደም በቀር ሌላ መስዋዕት የለም።

ምስጢረ ክህነት
ክህነት ማለት የአገልግሎት ማዕረግ ሲሆን በጳጳሳት አንብሮተ እድ የሚሰጥ ምስጢር ነው።
- ከማይደገሙ ምሥጢራት ወገን ነው
- በአንብሮተ እድ ይተላለፋል
በዚህ ምስጢር ካህናት የማሰርና የመፍታት ሥልጣን፣ ሌሎች ምሥጢራትን የማከብር እና የማቀደስ ሥልጣን ይቀበላሉ።

ምስጢር 5
ምሥጢረ ንስሓ
ንስሓ ማለት መጸጸት፣ መመለስ እና ወደ እግዚአብሔር መቅረብ ማለት ነው።
- በካህን ፊት ኃጢአትን መናዘዝ
- የኃጢአት ስርየት መቀበል
- በሕይወት ሁሉ ሊፈጸም የሚገባ
በዚህ ምስጢር ምእመናን የኃጢአት ይቅርታን ያገኛሉ እና በጸጋ ይታደላሉ።

ምስጢር 6
ምስጢረ ተክሊል
ምሥጢረ ተክሊል በቤተ ክርስቲያን በካህን ጸሎት እና በረከት የሚፈጸም ቅዱስ ጋብቻ ነው።
- ተክሊል ወይም ክርስቲያናዊ ጋብቻ
- በአክሊል የሚወከል ክብር
በዚህ ምስጢር ወንድና ሴት በቅዱስ ጋብቻ ይጣመራሉ እግዚአብሔርም አንድ ያደርጋቸዋል።

ምስጢር 7
ምሥጢረ ቀንዲል
ምሥጢረ ቀንዲል ለታመሙ በጸሎት እና በቅዱስ ቅብአት የሚሰጥ የፈውስ ምስጢር ነው።
- ለህሙማነ ሥጋ እና ነፍስ የሚሰጥ
- በካህናት ጸሎት የሚፈጸም
በዚህ ምስጢር እግዚአብሔር ፈውስን እና መመለስን ይሰጣል።

ማጠቃለያ
እንግዲህ መንፈሳዊ ህይወት በነዚህ በሰባቱ ምሥጢራተ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ይመሠረታል በነዚህም ይጸናል። ስለዚህ እያንዳንዱ የሰው ልጅ በነዚህ በርነት እንዲገባ በነዚህ እንዲጸና ሁሉም የማወቅ፣ የማሳወቅ፣ የመፈጸም እና የማስፈጸም መንፈሳዊ ግዴታ አለበት።

The Seven Mysteries of the Church
In the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, the Seven Mysteries are holy sacraments through which the grace of God is given to the faithful.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen.
Introduction
The expression “the Seven Mysteries” signifies that they are seven in number. These are the holy mysteries through which the grace of God is bestowed upon the faithful. By participation in them, man receives spiritual life, healing, holiness, and communion with God.
Proverbs 9:1
They are called “mysteries” because they are divine mysteries. Outwardly, they are rites performed in the Church and visible to the bodily eye; inwardly, however, they impart the invisible grace of God. Unless a man partakes of these mysteries, he cannot even see, much less enter, the Kingdom of God.
John 3:3 and 5
These sacred ministrations are performed through the blessing and prayer of the priest, who serves as the steward of God. These are the mysteries known, believed, and practiced in the ancient Church.
Mystery 1
The Mystery of Baptism
Baptism is numbered among the non-repeatable mysteries.
- Baptism is birth from the Holy Trinity
- Baptism is the door to all other mysteries
- There is one baptism for the remission of sins
Through baptism, a man is born again into spiritual life and growth. He receives a spiritual father, heavenly nourishment through the Body and Blood of Christ, and a path toward the Kingdom of Heaven.

Mystery 2
The Mystery of Chrismation
Chrismation follows immediately after baptism. It is not merely an anointing, but a seal that grants the grace of the Holy Spirit.
- Used to consecrate churches and sacred vessels
- Used to anoint kings
- A non-repeatable mystery

Mystery 3
The Mystery of Holy Communion
Holy Communion is the sacrament through which believers unite with God.
- It is the act of drawing near and joining with God
- It is participation in divine life
This is the highest and complete sacrifice — the Body and Blood of Christ — through which believers receive life.

Mystery 4
The Mystery of Holy Ordination
This mystery refers to priesthood and ministry.
- A non-repeatable mystery
- Given through the laying on of hands by bishops
Through ordination, priests receive authority to administer the mysteries, reconcile people with God, and serve the Church.

Mystery 5
The Mystery of Penance
Penance is repentance — turning back to God.
- Confession before a priest
- Receiving forgiveness of sins
- Required throughout life
Through this mystery, believers receive forgiveness and restoration through God’s grace.

Mystery 6
The Mystery of Holy Matrimony
Holy Matrimony is the sacred union of a man and a woman blessed in the Church.
- Also called Crowning
- Symbolized by crowns placed on the couple
Through this mystery, God unites them as one and grants grace for their life together.

Mystery 7
The Mystery of Holy Unction
Holy Unction is the mystery of healing through prayer and anointing.
- Given to those sick in body or soul
- Performed by priests through prayer
Through this mystery, God grants healing and restoration.

Conclusion
The spiritual life is founded upon these Seven Mysteries and strengthened through them. Every believer is called to know them, practice them, and grow through them in faith.
